After The Sunset

They were showing the movie on Star Movies today. The story of After The Sunset is quite predictable, but somehow I ended up watching the entire movie. Pierce Brosnan acts pretty dull and Salma Hayek's performance is like what we see in most of her movies. The most delightful part of the movie is the location where it is set - Bahamas, simply beautiful!

Max Burdett (Pierce Brosnan) and Lola Cirillo (Salma Hayek) plan to retire after a hitting a big theft. An FBI agent follows them to confirm if they have actually retired. A Napoleon number three diamond rests in a Diamond Cruise off the island coast. Then follows a series of events that lead to the theft of the famed diamond and, of course, a little bit of suspicion.

The movie is worth a single viewing, nothing so special, nothing so bad.

This is one movie I just can watch n number of times. It's so realistic actually tickling the way men and women generally think. The way a woman likes to be lovey-dovey, pampered, wanting her man to commit at that exact moment she has made up her mind. The way men grow up to drink, smoke & drive, but remain boys when it comes to sports and a bit hesitation to commit for marriage and kids.

Acting, music, lyrics, dialogues, timing... everything is just so perfect. After all, it's Rahul Bose's movie!

Watched the Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor starrer recently. I went with an apprehension about the movie, but came out smiling. Yeah, the movie is worth a watch, especially if you like the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Just Married types. Kareena to my surprise has acted brillaintly, and Shahid as ever is good & cute too! If you are right now in the mode of judging Saawariya and Om Shanti Om and haven't watched Jab We Met as yet, I think you are definitely missing out on someething really romantic.
