The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow will never forget her most precious Women's Day gift - The Oscar Award for directing.
She has become the first female to be honored with the Best Director title at the Academy Awards. For time to follow, whenever another female will win Academy Award for best direction, Kathryn Bigelow's name would be remembered to be the first female winner.The way it has been for the first females in every field, be it flying or presiding a nation.
